IEJ works with youth, high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate athletes across a wide range of experience levels. Most of our athletes are in middle school and above, but we are open to working with anyone! Contact us to find the right training option for your athlete.
Yes! Athletes don’t need previous jumping experience, we teach the fundamentals and adjust training to each athlete’s ability. For those that are completely new to an event, we recommend starting with a few private sessions before joining the group.
Sessions generally take place at Walt Whitman High School. Check the current schedule for each session’s location.
Winter group sessions last two hours, beginning with a shared warm-up and conditioning before splitting into event-specific training for long jump, triple jump, and high jump.
Make sure you are wearing weather-appropriate clothing. We train outside year-round and it will get cold fast. Also make sure you bring your running sneakers and spikes (if you have a pair) each day.
USATF membership is required for club participation. If you intend to compete, you will need an active USATF membership and will have to be affiliated with Island Elite Jumping.
Use the registration links on our website. Payment options include Zelle, cash, and check. Unfortunately, we will no longer be accepting Venmo as a form of payment.
Training outside all year has us at the mercy of Mother Nature quite often. Any weather-related schedule changes are communicated through Stack Team App as early as possible, so check for updates before heading to practice. If you need access to the team on the Stack Team App, please reach out and I can send you the invite link.
